Governor Evers approves pavement marking project in 14 counties

To invest in Wisconsin’s transportation system, Gov. Tony Evers has signed a $1.97 million contract with prime contractor Forward Traffic and Marking of Edina, Minn., for pavement marking in 12 counties in WisDOT’s Northwest Region and two in the Southwest Region. Construction started this week.
This Wisconsin Department of Transportation project will replace epoxy pavement markings on the following highways in the Northwest Region:
Barron County: US 8, County O east of Barron to County SS south of Cameron.
Bayfield and Sawyer counties: US 63, County M to WIS 27 South in Hayward.
Buffalo County: WIS 25/35, Riecks Lake Bridge to Nelson.
Buffalo and Trempealeau counties: WIS 121, WIS 88 North south of Mondovi to WIS 93 north of Independence.
Clark County: WIS 98, Loyal to the Clark County line (only the center line).
Dunn County: WIS 25, Pepin/Dunn County line north to 28th Avenue in Menomonie; WIS 29/US 12, County B east to 850th Street just west of the WIS 29/US 12/I-94 interchange; and US 12 at County H north of Elk Mound.
Dunn and St. Croix counties: WIS 170, WIS 128 in Glenwood City east to County D between Boyceville and Colfax.
Jackson County: WIS 27, Monroe County line to US 12 East in Black River Falls; and I-94, mile marker 121 to mile marker 125.
Pierce County: WIS 29/35, US 10 in Prescott to Cemetery Road in River Falls; WIS 72, County DD east of Ellsworth to County BB east of the Rush River; US 10, Minnesota state line to WIS 29/35 in Prescott; and US 10, WIS 65 North to Beaulah Street in Ellsworth.
Pierce and St. Croix counties: WIS 29, County CC in Spring Valley to WIS 128.
Polk County: US 8, East of Glacier Drive in St. Croix Falls to east of WIS 35 North (only the lane lines); and US 8, WIS 46 South north of Amery to the Barron County line.
St. Croix County: I-94, St. Croix River bridges in Hudson to WIS 65; and WIS 35 from I-94 to Front Street/Coulee Road in Hudson.
Sawyer County: WIS 27, 650 feet north of Carol Drive to US 63 in Hayward.
Trempealeau County: WIS 93, WIS 95 in Arcadia south to just north of Swenson Lane; WIS 121, WIS 93 in Independence to US 53 in Whitehall; US 10, I-94 in Osseo to the Jackson County line; and US 53, WIS 95 to WIS 121 in Whitehall.
Washburn County: US 63, County B to US 53 east of Spooner.
In addition, the project will replace epoxy pavement markings on the following:
Juneau County: WIS 21, Monroe County line to Necedah; WIS 58, Mauston to WIS 80; WIS 80 in New Lisbon; WIS 80/82, Elroy to Mauston; and I-90 at spot locations.
Juneau and Monroe County: WIS 173, WIS 21 to the Wood County line.
Monroe County: US 12 in Tomah; and I-94, County EW west of Warrens to WIS 21 north of Tomah.
The work will result in lane closures, and in some areas, the marking will be done at night. Construction is scheduled for completion in early July.
