Join us at Red Cedar Fly Fishing for a free casting clinic and gear workshop with Dick Sagara, Certified Casting Instructor through Fly Fishers International and regional representative for Temple Fork Outfitters fly rods.

Dick brings more than 25 years of experience in the fly-fishing industry and has trained with some of the most influential names in modern fly casting, including Lefty Kreh, Ed Jaworowski, and Bob Clouser. He has fished across many regions of the United States and is known for helping anglers refine their casting and get more enjoyment out of their time on the water.

Dick is the owner of Sagara Outdoor Products, an independent sales-representation business focused primarily on fly-fishing-related products. His business is based in Portland, Oregon, representing outdoor products in OR, WA, AK, MT, ID, WY, MN & WI. He has operated Sagara Outdoor Products business for 26 years.

Throughout the day Dick will be available to:

Help improve your casting technique and efficiency
Discus his 4 principals that apply to each fly cast
Demonstrate exercises to help you apply these principles
Diagnose common casting issues
Match rods to your casting style
Help selecting the right line paired to your rod and casting style.
Answer questions about the Temple Fork Outfitters rod lineup
Talk through gear choices for different fisheries and techniques
Explain and demo Euro / Tight line nymphing techniques
Answer questions about 2 handed casting and the difference in equipment.
