Eva J. Wahl

Eva Jean Wahl, age 84 of Menomonie passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at Comforts of Home in Menomonie.

Eva was born August 18, 1941 in Menomonie to Selmer and Signa (Strand) Hulback. She graduated from Menomonie High School in 1959. On September 10, 1960 Eva married Donald Wahl at Peace Lutheran Church also in Menomonie.

She farmed alongside her husband on a dairy farm for 38 years in the township of Menomonie. She kept a small garden and had many berry patches.

Eva enjoyed baking, playing cards and collecting recipes. She loved going on the many bus trips from the senior center and most importantly spending time with her family and friends.

Eva is survived by a son Scott of Menomonie, brothers Lawrence (Delores) Hulback, Carrol Hulback, Jerry (Nancy) Hulback, Galen (Chris) Hulback; she is further survived by many nieces, nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald, sisters Hazel (Lavern “Pete”) Scharlau, Janet (Merrill) Platson; brothers James (Luann) Hulback, Donald (Barbara “Bonnie”) Hulback, Laverne (Victoria) Hulback and an infant brother.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 5, 2025 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie with Pastor August Hohl officiating. Burial will take place at Peace Lutheran Cemetery in Menomonie. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services.
