Dunn County Sheriff shares traffic reminder

TRAFFIC REMINDER: STH 25 & CTH BB

We’ve received complaints about drivers using the right-turn-only lane on STH 25 near CTH BB to pass other vehicles.

As the photos show, the lane is marked with pavement arrows and signs indicating that the right lane MUST turn right. It is not a passing lane.

 If you enter the right-turn-only lane, you need to turn right. Using the lane to pass traffic and then merging back into the through lane creates an unnecessary risk for everyone in the area.

This section of STH 25 has historically been an area of concern for serious injury crashes due to violations and because of this, law enforcement will be spending additional time monitoring the intersection.

Please pay attention to the signs, follow the lane markings, and save the passing for somewhere it’s actually legal. A few seconds isn’t worth causing a crash.
