Expenditures up less than 1 percent

The Chippewa Valley Technical College District Board will host a public hearing and final budget approval at its meeting at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 28, in room 170 of the Business Education Center, 620 Clairemont Ave.

The budget calls for total expenditures of $115,475,407, an increase of 0.82 percent from the 2025-26 revised budget.  Total revenues are projected to be $104,107,191, down 2.37 percent from 2025-26, or nearly flat when accounting for one-time revenue from 2025-2026.

An estimated 7 percent increase in property values will decrease the mill rate from $63.88 per $100,000 of property value to $61.75, a 3.33 percent decrease. While the mill rate is decreasing, the overall amount estimated to be collected throughout the district via the tax levy is $30,312,403, up 3.43 percent from the previous year. The tax levy will not be set until the October 2026 meeting.
