City of Menomonie Snowplow Name Announced!

We are excited to announce that the City has renamed an existing snowplow… Blizzard Wizard!

Out of 840 votes, "Blizzard Wizard" plowed through the competition took the win with 350 votes. Thank you to everyone who shared ideas and voted!

Our Community Services team was kind enough to snap a photo with the newest named member of their fleet. Community Services Foreman Al Fahl, who has served the City of Menomonie for more than 35 years, helped bring this idea to life after seeing similar contests in other communities.

He shared, “I saw other communities doing fun things like naming their plows this winter and thought it would be great for Menomonie to be part of that too. There’s more to what we do than just serious work, and having some fun with the community is what it’s all about.”

We are hoping Blizzard Wizard does not need to make too many appearances again this season with the current forecast, but we love seeing our community come together for something fun like this.
