Catherine McIntyre

Catherine McIntyre (Snyder), age 98 of Wheeler, WI passed away April 2, 2026 at Dove Healthcare West, in Eau Claire, WI.

She was born December 16, 1927 in the town of Otter Creek, Dunn County, WI to parents Gaylord and Grace (Bird) Snyder.

Catherine married Samuel September 16, 1953. They had four children: Kathleen, Bruce, Kelly and Colleen.

Catherine was a kind, warm hearted, caring and loving woman filled with empathy. She met every struggle in life with fortitude and determination and embraced the good times. She loved to spend time with family, cook, bake, read, do crossword puzzles, garden, read the bible and attend to her daily devotions. She brought love and kindness to the lives of a great many people. She avoided being the center of attention but always reveled in the successes of others.

She is survived by sisters Ivy (Algie Montgomery), Hazel (Kenneth Palmer) Faith (Orville Larson) brother Paul (Kathy), son Kelly, and grandson Phillip and granddaughter Kayla. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, many great nieces and nephews and many great great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: parents Gaylord and Grace (Bird), sisters Judith and Edith (Emmett Sieger), brothers Floyd and Albert (Louise), daughters Kathleen (Galen Burton) and Colleen (Donnie Johnson) and son Bruce.

Catherine touched the lives and hearts of numerous people and she will be greatly missed. She would tell others not to grieve for her because she has gone on to better place and is with the loved ones who had gone before her and she is with her Lord and Savior.

A Visitation will be held from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, WI. Burial will take place at Hay River Cemetery in the Town of Hay River, Dunn County, WI.
