With a pin of Connor Bruhn of Chippewa Falls, junior Menomonie wrestler Bailey Casey secured his 100th career win on the high school wrestling mat. He now posts an overall record of 100-24 for a Mustangs squad looking to replicate their team state tournament trip a season ago.
Coach Rylan Lubeck commented, “Bailey Casey has represented what a Menomonie Mustang Wrestler should be. He has been able to adapt to his needs and his team's needs to push through and strive to reach his goals and the goals of his team.”
Casey, who has been a varsity wrestler since entering high school, posted 34 victories his freshman year, added 44 his sophomore campaign, and has 22 victories to date this season. He has wrestled at various weight classes, 106 to 138, during his varsity career and is currently listed at the 132-pound weight class.
Lubeck added more about Casey, “He’s a great wrestler looking to get 1% better every day.”
Casey, who also made a trip to the individual state wrestling tournament a season ago, has pinned himself into Menomonie high school wrestling record books.
Bailey is the son of Miah and Cassie Casey.
