Born at Fort Wainwright, Fairbanks, Alaska, Carrie brought warmth and light into the lives of all who knew her and was a beacon of kindness and strength throughout her life. She was 58 years old. Carrie was the cherished daughter of Bruce and Juel Kitchner, who were always proud of her accomplishments and the love she spread throughout her community.
Carrie graduated from Durand High School in 1986, where she began to cultivate her strong work ethic and independent spirit that would define her character. Over the years, she dedicated herself to various roles, with employment at Econo Foods, Don’s Super Value, H & R Block, and 3M, where she made lasting friendships and left an indelible mark on her colleagues. Her spirit of service and devotion to her family and friends was evident in everything she did. Carrie’s greatest joy came from her family.

She loved going up North, where she found solace in nature, chasing bears, hunting mushrooms, and enjoyed fishing. She also enjoyed agate hunting on the shores of Lake Superior and shark tooth hunting on the beaches of Florida. She had a passion for thrifting, shopping, and coin collecting, always on the lookout for unique treasures. She could also be found with a smile at her favorite spot in the Casino. Her welcoming smile and friendly demeanor made her a joy to be around, and she had a remarkable ability to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Carrie received compassionate care from Mayo Oncology and Hospice, especially from Karen and Laura. Also, Adoray Hospice, with heartfelt gratitude to Jen, Josie, and her part-time caretaker, Jess. Their kindness and support provided comfort to both Carrie and her family during this difficult time.
She is survived by her soulmate Daniel Larson, beloved parents, Bruce and Juel Kitchner, and her loving children: Justin (Brittany) Larson, Jeremy (Taylor) Larson, Kaileb Larson, and Christopher Larson.
