A Big Rivers conference championship, the first for Menomonie since 1990, and trip to the state tournament is a task that is difficult to repeat. With the lack of team varsity experience the Mustangs will pose around the net, new Mustangs will have to fill those sneakers.

Longtime head coach, in his thirteenth season, Bryce Supri said, “we have some players that put in a lot of time during the offseason.” Knowing the difficulty of replacing six of the ten varsity players from a season ago said, “We have a lot of players that can step into a varsity lineup so It should keep things competitive at practice.”

Supri also commented about the BRC, “Eau Claire Memorial is always really good,” while Hudson and New Richmond are other BRC teams that will pose challenges.

Supri has an impressive 191-42 records as the varsity head coach at Menomonie high. He will be assisted by Paul Simpson, Wes Thompson and Carla Taylor.

Senior captain Aaron Lambrigtsen will lead the way as the returning Mustang tennis player. He has been on varsity since his freshman campaign and the Mustangs will be leaning on his experience to finish at, or near, the top of the conference again this season.

Other returners include captains Jack Winterfeldt, Tristan Webb and Micah Gunderson, a first team All-BRC selection and individual state qualifier a season ago. More returners and players that may compete for varsity court time include Harrison Davis, Jacob Rue, Sam McWithey, Davin Ellis, Wren Swaenepoel, Sutton Richartz, Carter Goodman and freshmen Gabe Grutt.

The Mustangs lost five first team All-BRC netters from 2024 - Issac Johnson, Andrew Busch, Noah Reckin, Brady Goodman and Charlie Behrend.
