Arnold "Arnie" O. Henderson

ree

Arnold Oliver Henderson, 90, of Cedar Falls, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on July 28th, 2025 at American Lutheran Home in Menomonie.

Arnold was born on May 23rd, 1935 in Colfax, WI to Herman and Bernice (Coleman) Henderson. In 1940, they moved to Red Cedar township where they farmed. He attended Prairie Grade School and graduated from Dunn County Aggie in 1953.

He married Marlene Williams on April 25th, 1958, in Menomonie. They resided in Cedar Falls, where he did what he loved – farming. He served on the Dunn County Fair Board for many years and was always recognized when driving around on his golf cart or gator. He also served on the Town Board of Red Cedar and Church Council at Tainter United Methodist Church. With his wife Marlene, they traveled to all 50 states as well as to Europe. They played cards every month for 50 years with their friends. Together, they raised three wonderful children, David, Kevin, and Lisa, and they loved supporting them and their grandkids with their whole hearts. He will always be remembered with a crooked smile and a clever joke.

Arnold is survived by his wife, Marlene, his brother Don (Marcia) Henderson, son David (Jody) Henderson, his daughter-in-law Catherine Henderson, his step-sister Pat Heiman, sister-in-law Lauretta Oakland, his grandchildren Juli (Drew) Wilson, Brooklyn (Matt) Cauwels, Daniel Henderson, Kenya (Tanner) Holderbecker, Carissa Henderson, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and a great-grandchild expected soon.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his step-mother Helen (Walters) Henderson, his sister and brother-in-law Marion and Fred Heitkamp, his daughter Lisa Henderson, his son Kevin Henderson, his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Verlyn and Sharon Williams, his brother-in-law Verdell Oakland, and his step-brother-in-law Lance Heiman.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 20th at 10:30am at Tainter United Methodist Church, with the funeral at 11:30am and a luncheon to follow. There will be a private burial service after lunch.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Arnold’s memory may be directed to Cedar Falls Cemetery, Project Search (Program for High School Students with Disabilities), or St. Jude’s.
