Anita (Loback) Rundle joined her family and friends in Heaven on October 9, 2025.
She was born on September 21, 1942, to Alvin and Sarah (Steinmentz) Loback at her maternal grandparents' home near Wheeler, WI.
At age nine, she was joined by her sister, Arlene, who became her lifelong friend. Anita attended a rural school before going on to Colfax High School, where she was named Homecoming Queen in 1959 and graduated in 1960.
After graduation, she worked in several secretarial positions in Minnesota as well as in Bloomer and Glenwood City, Wisconsin. In 1962, she was united in marriage to Harold "Doug" Rundle, and together they built their home of nearly 50 years near Wheeler, WI.
Anita loved decorating for all the holidays, especially Christmas. Their elaborate Christmas displays were enjoyed by many and even featured in several newspapers. She took great joy in holiday baking and especially loved passing down those traditions to her children and grandchildren.
She enjoyed camping and fishing with Doug, as well as dancing, playing cards, attending garage sales, and taking pontoon rides.
Throughout her life, Anita dedicated herself to her community. She served as the Town Clerk of Otter Creek for more than 40 years and drove school bus for Colfax Public Schools for 34 years.
She is survived by her children, Tammie (Steve) Cook and Timothy Rundle (Linda Lierman); daughter-in-law Linda Rundle; her sister, Arlene, and brother-in-law, Eugene Hintzman; as well as grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Doug, and sons Bruce and Brian.
