“WARMING THE ROOTS” MUSIC AND POETRY CONCERT
Join us for a unique evening of music and poetry March 5th featuring folk duo Fendrick and Peck, singer-songwriter Timothy Frantzich, and poet Thomas R. Smith. Their program “Warming the Roots: Songs and Poems Before Spring” heralds the coming of a warmer season.
Madeline Fendrick and Brian Peck are a Minnesota-based indie-eco-acoustic duo with well woven lyrics and harmonies and delicate yet driving instrumental composition. They have been sharing with their audiences wonderfully unique concert experiences for the past 15 years. Their forthcoming CD “Seed Coat” has been described as, “brave, magical, and tasty.” Song samples are available at https://www.fendrickandpeck.com.
For the past 40 years Timothy Frantzich has been making music in rock ‘n’ roll bands, folk harmony duos, and cover bands, while creating many original recordings along the way. He is the founder of Perfection-Free Community Singing, a movement inviting everyday people into shared moments of beauty and connection. His web site is www.brothertimothy.net.
Thomas Smith is the author of ten poetry collections, and editor of five books about poets and poetry. He writes of nature, love, and spirit from his home on the banks of the Kinnickinnic River in River Falls, and will preview his new collection “Heaven and Nature,” forthcoming from Nodin Press.
