The Menomonie Art Music Society's Fall Recital - October 24th

The Menomonie Art Music Society will present another fall recital on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 2 pm at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 910 9th Street East,  Menomonie. Listening to live classical music is a lovely way to spend time on a Saturday afternoon. 

There will be no theme, although some pieces will have a folk music focus. Classically trained composers often would put their particular spin on a familiar folk tune. For example, in his ballet, Appalachian Spring, American composer Aaron Copland used the familiar Shaker tune, Simple Gifts.

There will be music for voice, piano, organ, and strings, provided by local musicians and music students.    

There is no charge, but a freewill donation is appreciated in order to cover expenses. Refreshments will follow the recital. 

Menomonie Art Music Society exists to promote and perform classical music, and to educate audiences in the community about this marvelous genre. Local music students and experienced musicians perform on Art Music Society programs, not only giving it an educational element but giving musicians in the community an opportunity to present classical music.
