Ronald L. Larrabee

Ronald L. Larrabee, age 71, of Menomonie, WI, was called home to his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, October 1, 2025.

He was born on May 20, 1954, in Menomonie, WI, to the late Roy and Alice (Lawson) Larrabee. From an early age, Ronald had a love for animals and the outdoors, which shaped the course of his life. He worked for many years as a dairy farmer and later as a logger, finding pride and joy in honest, hard work and in the care of his cattle and the land.

Family was the center of Ronald’s life. He was the devoted husband of Char (Bignell) Larrabee, and together they shared a lifetime of love and partnership. He was a proud father to Kimberlie and Ronald, and nothing gave him more joy than being “Grandpa” to his six grandchildren—Elliana, Trinnity, and Aubriella Larrabee, and Addison, Avalynn Bowell, and the late Jaxon Larrabee. His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy, and he filled their lives with laughter, lessons, and unconditional love. To his family and friends, Ronald was not only a husband, father, and grandfather, but also a trusted friend, counselor, handyman, and mechanic—always ready to lend a helping hand.

Ronald is also survived by his brothers, Tom (Sue) Larrabee of Menomonie and Marvin (Debra) Larrabee of Elk Mound, along with many extended family members and friends who loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Jaxon; his parents, Roy and Alice; his brother, Richard; his sister, Judie Miller; and his grandparents, Carl & Hazel Lawson and Merle & Mable Larrabee.

A celebration of Ronald’s life will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 12:30 p.m. at Forrest Center Church of the Nazarene, E7112 270th Avenue, Menomonie.

Ronald will be remembered most for his love of family, his faith, and his dedication to a life of hard work and simple joys. His presence will be deeply missed, but his love and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
