Robin S. Johnson

Robin S. Johnson, age 57, of Menomonie, WI, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire, WI.

Born on March 15, 1968, to Gary and Nancy (Salaway) Schroeder in Menomonie, Robin grew up with a heart full of kindness, warmth, and compassion. Her positive spirit touched countless lives, and she will be remembered for the joy she brought to everyone she met.

Robin began her career at Menomonie Daycare in 1984 through the Menomonie High School Co-Op program. She cherished her time there, pouring love and care into the children she worked with and forming friendships that lasted a lifetime.

In 1990, Robin met the love of her life, Patrick Johnson. They married in April 1998 and built a home together in Menomonie, where Robin devoted herself to family and friends. Her greatest joy was her daughter, Cassandra “Cassie” Johnson. The bond between Robin and Cassie was extraordinary; rooted in love, laughter, and mutual respect. Their relationship blossomed into a deep friendship that was a source of strength and happiness for them both.

Robin began working at Walmart in Menomonie in June 1992, where she dedicated 33 years of service across many departments, including the Distribution Center, Pharmacy, and Front End. She was a familiar, welcoming face to customers and colleagues alike, known for her cheerful presence and genuine care. To many, Robin was not just an employee but a friend who brightened their day.

Family was the cornerstone of Robin’s life. She shared a special bond with her mother, Nancy, who was her best friend. Together, they enjoyed craft fairs, family gatherings, and their annual tradition of attending Country Fest with Robin’s brother, Rich. Robin’s love of music was a constant in her life, whether attending live shows or supporting Rich’s performances, she found joy in the rhythm and connection music brought.

Robin’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to those she cared for. She is survived by her husband, Patrick Johnson; daughter, Cassandra “Cassie” Johnson; brother, Rich (DeJon) Schroeder; nieces and nephews Jared (Kate) Walters, Tobi Schroeder, and Emma Schroeder; along with many other relatives and friends who will carry her memory in their hearts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gary and Nancy Schroeder.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, WI.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Little Elk Creek Lutheran Church in Menomonie, WI, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Froen Cemetery in Menomonie, WI, in the spring.

Robin’s life was a testament to the power of kindness and the beauty of simple joys. She will be deeply missed, yet her spirit will continue to shine through the lives she touched.
