Richard "Rick" A. Kruchten

Richard Alan “Rick” Kruchten Rick passed away peacefully at 9:00 p.m. on October 17, 2025, with his dear friend by his side, after a very brief but courageous battle with cancer.

Rick was born on June 6, 1956, in Buena Vista, Iowa, to John "Jack" and Carmen Kruchten. At the age of two, he moved with his family to Wisconsin, where he remained for the rest of his life.

He married Sharon Angiolo in Menominee, Michigan. To the marriage, she brought four sons: Terry, Frank, Todd, and Vince, and together they welcomed a son, Kurt. They later divorced in 1992.

In 1994, Rick met and married Mariann York. He welcomed her three sons, later adopting all three and giving them his name in 1996.

Rick worked for many years in the tire industry, spending the last 30 years as part of the family at Churchill Tire in Menomonie, WI (taking a few years off after a farm accident).

During his time off, Rick enjoyed hunting and fishing with family and friends. He loved caring for the animals on his little hobby farm and spending time with his kids, grandkids, and wife.

Rick is preceded in death by his parents; five brothers; one sister; and his grandson, Caleb.

He is survived by his wife, Mariann; sons, Kurt, David, Richie, and Matthew; four stepsons; ten grandchildren; one sister; four brothers; and many other family members and good friends.

Rick will always be remembered for his great work ethic, sense of humor, and love for his family and friends.

Always in our hearts and never forgotten.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, October 24, 2025, at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, WI. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
