Stepping Stones is glad to share that Dunn County area schools offer the SAM (Share A Meal) project to all interested students.
This is a partnership between the Menomonie Schools and Stepping Stones of Dunn County Food Pantry.
The purpose of the project is to provide food for students over the weekend when school meals are not available.
SAM is open to all student’s Pre-K- 12th grade.
If you choose to enroll your child, he/she will receive a bag of food each week that school is in session. The food is at no cost to you or your child. Please be aware that peanut products are often distributed. We are sorry we cannot accommodate food allergies at this time.
• SAM bags will be available for pick up every Friday just before school is dismissed.
• For long weekends or prior to school vacations there will be extra food.
• The food will either be ready to eat or will require minimal preparation.
If you would like your child to receive a SAM bag, all you need to do is print out and complete the pictured form and return it to the main office at their school or talk to their school's office staff. If you have more than one child in school who you would like to receive a bag, please fill out a separate form for each of them.
Applications are accepted throughout the school year.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Stepping Stones of Dunn County or email info@steppingstonesdc.org
