Phyllis Marie Williams

Phyllis Marie Williams, age 83, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire, WI.

She was born June 11, 1942, in Menomonie, WI. She attended Hudson Road Grade School and later graduated from Menomonie High School in 1959.

While growing up, she loved riding her horse Mazy. She enjoyed doing hair and graduated from Cosmetology School in 1970. She also liked to hunt.

In 1971, Phyllis married Larry Williams and moved to the farm in the Little Elk Creek area. Later, she started working at U.W. Stout, and after 18 years, she retired in September 2006. One of the highlights of Phyllis and Larry’s 55 years together was raising their three daughters: Cathy, Cam, and Cindy. Later in life, she enjoyed watching Brewers ball games, Friday fish fries, and going on drives through the beautiful Wisconsin countryside. At home she enjoyed watching all the different birds that would come to feed from her living room window.

Phyllis is survived by her husband, Larry Williams; daughters, Catherine (Werner) Olson, Camela Werner, and Cynthia (Werner) Bujanovich; grandson, Michael Olson; granddaughter, Danielle Bujanovich; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Edna (Stoll) Hanson; father, Elmer Hanson; sister, Martha; brother, Harold; and grandson, James Olson Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, WI, with Pastor August Hohl officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Forest Center Cemetery in the Town of Spring Brook, WI.
