Peter J. Samdahl

Peter Jon Samdahl age 64, of Menomonie, WI passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at his home.

He was born June 2nd, 1961 in Seattle Washington to C. David and Eda (Stokke) Samdahl. He grew up in New Brighton Minnesota where he attended grade school through 11th grade. He graduated from Lake Park High School in Roselle Illinois. He attended the University of Wisconsin – Stout where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Mathematics in 1983. He went on to work as a Business Consultant.

Peter married Lisa Stees in 1988 and they had two daughters, Taylor and Rachel Samdahl. They later divorced. He loved to fish on Tainter Lake, camp in the mountains, snow and water ski, cook and play disc golf.

Peter is survived by his parents Dave and Eda Samdahl of Menomonie; two daughters Taylor Samdahl of Tampa, Rachel Samdahl of Los Angeles. He is also survived by his many relatives and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved brother, David A. Samdahl and partner Lorraine Bolton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested.

A memorial gathering will be held from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 26th, 2026 at the Tainter Lake Town Hall at N8150 County Rd D in Colfax, WI. The time of sharing will start at 5:00 p.m. A private burial will be held on a later date at Little Elk Creek Cemetery.
