Wheeler’s Our Savior’s Lutheran Church has closed its doors and given its buildings to neighboring Grace United Methodist Church.
Grace United Methodist Church in Wheeler invites our community friends to two important events coming up in June. On Sunday, June 7, at 11:15 a.m. is a service of remembrance and celebration for the years our church building at 705 2nd Street has served as the center of United States Methodism in Wheeler. The building was built in 1904. Former members and friends are invited to come and share in the celebration, which will be followed by light refreshments.
On Sunday, June 14, Grace Church will have its first service in the former Our Savior’s Lutheran Church at 602 Main Street. The members of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church have generously gifted the United Methodist Church with their facilities. The 11:15 a.m. service will be led by Pastor Vicky Strupp with light refreshments following. Everyone is invited to attend.
