Donation request from the Dunn County Humane Society – Help Keep Our Kittens Warm! We’re down to our last few Snuggle Safe heating disks (our others are being used by fosters), which we use to keep baby kittens, sick cats, and post-surgery patients warm and comfortable. If you’d like to help, donations of Snuggle Safe heating pads would be greatly appreciated! Amazon link: https://amzn.to/4qA8b6K
Thank you for helping give our pets the warmth and comfort they deserve!
Lifestyle Nutrition, which was located at 327 Main Street, has closed as of October 27th. From the Lifestyle Nutrition Facebook page: "After 7.5 incredible years, I’ve made the bittersweet decision to step away and start a new chapter. We’re officially closing our doors."

From the Dunn County Facebook page. A big THANK YOU to everyone who participated in our annual Dunn County Staff Pumpkin Decorating Contest. The creativity, teamwork, and effort that went into each masterpiece were truly impressive.
You can see a video of all of the entries HERE.
1st Place: Sheriff’s Office

3rd Place: Highway Department
Special thanks to County Manager Dan Dunbar and County Supervisor Mike Kneer for taking on the tough job of judging all the entries and for “testing” the candy supply along the way (we’re looking at you, Dan). We’re proud of our talented and festive crew. Happy fall from all of us at Dunn County!
Brewery Nonic is hosting a Halloween Spooktacular Weekend starting on Friday. On Saturday, the Torch Sisters will be performing. Patti See, who is one of the contributors to the Sawdust Stories column that appears in the Leader Telegram, featured the Torch Sisters in last weekend's paper. While I can't link to that story, here is a link to the Torch Sisters website where you can learn more about them.
The Caring Closet will be open from 10 am -noon on Saturday, November 1st, and again on Wednesday, November 5th, from 5-7 pm. We have been blessed with a huge donation and busy volunteers, so come check out our new, gently used clothing. We are in need of winter outerwear, especially for children and youth. If you would like to donate, we accept them when we're open. You'll find us in the basement of New Life Nazarene Church at 1002 8th St in Menomonie. From the Menomonie Caring Closet Facebook page.

From the Health Dunn Right Facebook page: During the government shutdown, we understand that many individuals and families may be facing uncertainty or disruptions in services. Scan the QR code (or follow this LINK) to access the Dunn County Community Resource Guide to receive assistance in finding local support for food, housing, health care, and more.
