The Stout women's basketball team will have a banner ceremony on Saturday, December 13th at 2:45 pm, prior to their game against Augsburg College. Tickets are $4. From the Stout Women's Basketball Facebook page.
Stepping Stones Executive Director Corrisa Villeneuve was featured on The Kitchen Sink podcast. You can find it HERE.
From the Dunn County Humane Society: For a decade, we have been able to support community pets when they needed it most through programs like our Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Program. With grant funding dwindling, we’re relying on our community to keep these life-changing programs going. Volume One recently did a story about these and other challenges at the DCHS. You can read the story HERE.

The owner of EMBER + EVE CO., located at 332 Main Street, has announced that the brick-and-mortar store will be closing. From the EMBER + EVE CO. Facebook page: After a lot of thought, evaluation, and honest conversations with myself, I’ve made the very difficult decision not to renew my lease and to close the brick-and-mortar portion of the business at this time. Our last day for in-person shopping will be December 28th. If you have store credit, please use it by December 28th. Gift cards will continue to remain valid online.
Although the storefront is closing, this is not the end of EMBER + EVE CO—far from it. In 2026, we’ll be pivoting back to fully online, with continued opportunities to shop in person at vendor events and markets. There are already exciting plans in motion, including a refreshed website, new collections, and a full schedule of pop-up events in various communities. Thank you for supporting this brick-and-mortar chapter. Your presence, encouragement, and loyalty have shaped my journey in ways I will always hold close. With heartfelt gratitude, Jacque
