The City of Menomonie has been recognized as 2023 Tree City USA from the Arbor Day Foundation. This is the 34th year in a row the city has received this award. You may wonder what it takes to become a Tree City. A city must maintain a tree board or department, have a community tree ordinance, spend at least $2 per capita on urban forestry, and celebrate Arbor Day. From the City of Menomonie Facebook page.
