Michael W. Shaw

Michael Wellington Shaw, age 42, of Menomonie, Wisconsin passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Sunday, September 21, 2025.

He was born on July 5, 1983 in Beloit, Wisconsin. He was a long-time employee at Ted’s Pizza in Menomonie. Mike was a graduate of Menomonie High School and attended the University of Wisconsin-Stout.

He loved hanging out with close friends, had a passion for cooking and considered himself an amateur chef, and was an avid gamer. He was a martial artist earning his brown belt at Karate American in Eau Claire. He was also a member of the National Clan Shaw Society and, in full kilt attire, attended many Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa Highland Games and the Minnesota Renaissance Fair Highland Weekend representing the Clan Shaw to assist event participants in learning more about their Scottish Heritage.

He is survived by his father, Dennis Lee Shaw of Des Moines, Iowa. Tragically his mother, Mary Ann Baker of Machesney Park, Illinois died on the same day in an unrelated event.

A visitation will be held from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Monday, October 6, 2025 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, WI.
