There is a mandatory sports meeting for any student wanting to participate in a fall sport at MHS.
Fall Sports - Wednesday, August 5th at the high school
5:00-5:30 pm registration
5:30-6:30 pm code meeting in auditorium
6:30-7:00 pm coaches' meetings
To participate in any sport or activity for the upcoming season, students must be registered, have a physical on file, and pay the activity fee before tryouts and practices begin.
PLEASE NOTE THERE IS A NEW ONLINE REGISTRATION SYSTEM
How to Register: Visit the Menomonie High School website and under Parents and Community, select Activities, which will open the new registration page. Once there, under the Registration tab, select Activities.
Required Before Participation: Completed online registration, have a current physical on file, and activity fee paid.
If you have any questions or need assistance with the registration process, please contact the Athletic Office at martha_peabody@msd.k12.wi.us or 715-232-2606 ext 41102.
Fall sports options - boys and girls cross country, boys soccer, girls tennis, girls golf, girls swim, cheer, volleyball, and football.
Please note that students are not allowed to participate in any practices or events without an updated physical on file with the school district. Physicals are required every two years. When you register with the new system, it will import the information the school has on file. You will be flagged if a physical is needed.
You can also check the status of physicals using Skyward. Select Health Info on the left side of the screen to take you to the physical exam page where you will see the dates physicals for you child have been filed with the school.
Per the WIAA athletic participation permit card, any physical examination taken April 1st and thereafter is valid for the following (2) school years; physical examination taken before April 1st is valid only for the remainder of that school year and the following school year.
Example: If your child had a physical April 1, 2026, or after, the physical will be good through the 2027-2028 school year.
If your child had a physical before April 1, 2026, the physical will be good through the 2026-2027 school year.
If your child had a checkup recently, contact the healthcare provider and ask about getting a completed physical form. The required form can be found HERE.
A $100 activity fee is required for each student, not for each sport. The activity fee can be paid anytime Monday-Thursday 7am-3:30pm at the high school office. The school accepts cash and checks (made payable to MHS).
Payment can also be made through Skyward. After logging in, select Fee Management on the left-hand side. You will need to add the fee first by clicking the Add a Fee tab, and then select Make a Payment. Note: You will have to click Update Payment Amount and check the boxes next to the fees you want to pay. There is a $3.00 fee to pay online.
With the school district's new website, the menomoniemustangs.com website is no longer being used. All sports and activity information can be found through the Menomonie High School website. Under the Parents and Community tab, select Activities.
Season activity passes can be purchased at Menomonie High School or online HERE. These are good for sporting events and MHS plays and musicals. Tickets for individual games can be purchased using the same link. Cost is $5. MHS students can get into games (other than playoff games) for free with a student ID. Passes cannot be used for playoff games. The school will still be accepting cash for ticket purchases.
Streaming School Events- The SDMA will be streaming a variety of school events this year, and some events will include a full broadcast with commentators and commercials. If you or your business would be interested in advertising and helping to sponsor the streaming of MHS events, please contact Matt Riley at 715-232-2602 or matthew_riley@msd.k12.wi.us.
