Marjorie "Tootie" (Brunkow) Smasal

Marjorie “Tootie” (Brunkow) Smasal, 79, of Eau Claire, WI, went home to her Heavenly Father, on Saturday, July 12, 2025.

She was born in Menomonie, WI, to Marvin Brunkow, and Agnes (Borghild) (Foslid) Sinz. Marjorie grew up in Menomonie.

Marjorie is survived by her daughters, Kristine Crosby and Tami (Huftel) Walker, and her son, Marvin Retzloff.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Smasal; sons, Kevin Retzloff, William Retzloff (Sherri) and Terry (Retzloff) Huftel; and grandson, Christopher Hintzman.

Marjorie will be remembered for her great sense of humor, warmth and kindness, generosity and strength. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. on Marjorie’s 80th birthday, August 3, 2025, at Olson Funeral Home, 615 Wilson Ave. in Menomonie, WI.
