Lois E. Wood

Lois Eleanor Wood, age 97 of Menomonie, WI passed away May 30, 2025 at Colfax Senior Living.

Lois was born December 10, 1927 in the Township of Eau Galle, Dunn County, to Ralph and Florence (Gore) Wood.

She worked for many years as a seamstress at JH Collectables, where she had the opportunity to create clothing for notable figures, including Princess Diana and Jacqueline Onassis.

A woman of many passions, she found joy in gardening, sewing, knitting, and painting. She also had a keen eye for photography and cherished time spent capturing life’s moments through her lens. Her faith was a central part of her life, and she found comfort and inspiration in her beloved Bible.

Lois is survived by her brothers Orville Wood of Spring Valley, WI, and Winton (Judy) Wood of Milwaukee, WI. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Florence, her sister Eileen Wood, two brothers Russell Wood and Harold (Theresa) Wood, and her sister-in-law Elli Wood.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, June 5, 2025 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, WI. Burial will take place at Clearview Cemetery, Township of Eau Galle, Dunn County. There will be a visitation held one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be directed to them. Donations will be thoughtfully distributed to a local cause or charity that was meaningful to Lois and her family.
