Lego Home Building Contest -January 31st deadline

The Chippewa Valley Home Builders Association is bringing back the popular LEGO Home Building Contest for its 6th year!

Sponsored by Rock & Tait, winners will receive $50 to Micon Cinemas!

DEADLINE: January 31, 5:00 p.m.

Build your LEGO creation and fill out the submission form with photos of your entry before 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 31st.

Entry Categories:

• Individual (Age categories will be set once all entries are received. We create the categories based on age and number of entries to ensure the fairest judging possible.)

• Teams (2 or more siblings, family or friends who work together on 1 entry)

Judging:

• All entries will be judged the week of February 2 and will be based upon overall appearance, creativity and craftsmanship.

NOTE: Please ensure your creation stays in one piece until after February 9 when we will notify the winners. The winners will have their LEGO Homes displayed during the Home Show February 20 - 22.

Contest Details:

• Participants must construct a house built from LEGOs. Use your creativity!

• Non-LEGO accessories can be used.

• One entry per person. If siblings or friends work on the LEGO house together, then it is entered into the Team category and all ages are together.

• All participants must live within our 8 county service area (Barron, Buffalo, Chippewa, Clark, Dunn, Eau Claire, Pepin or Rusk) or live within the Osseo-Fairchild School District.

• Submit up to 4 photos of the completed LEGO house. (No videos please.)

• Fill out the online submission form and upload your photos in the form.

• Winners in each category will be displayed during the Home Show February 20 - 22. Please ensure your creation stays in one piece until after judging. Winners will set-up their creation at the Home Show and can pick up their creation after the event.

Optional: We are also seeking small donations to support the Chippewa Valley Home Builders Foundation. Anyone who donates in conjunction with the LEGO Contest will be displayed in signage at the Home & Show. The Chippewa Valley Home Builders Foundation’s mission is to provide opportunities for those interested in careers in the skilled trades and to promote and support projects focused on housing and emerging community construction related needs. Last year almost $5,000 in tools were donated to area school technical education programs.
