UW–Stout Menard Center: WI Supreme Court In-Person Interviews

Wisconsin voters will elect a new Supreme Court Justice on April 7, 2026.Event co-sponsors are the UW–Stout's Menard Center, Community Conversations of Northwest Wisconsin, and the League of Women Voters-St. Croix Valley Chapter.
These are opportunities for the people of Menomonie and Dunn County to learn more about the candidates running for election. So far, we have on-campus interviews scheduled with Judge Chris Taylor (Dec 6) and Judge Maria Lazar (Feb 4, 2026). If any further candidates announce, they will be invited to interview as well.

Tuesday, February 4, 2026
5:00 to 6:30 p.m.
Both events will be held at the Harvey Hall Theater on the UW-Stout campus, 721 Third Street East, Menomonie, WI 54751.

Candidate Chris Taylor is currently Judge of the WI Court of Appeals for District IV, based in Madison; and Maria Lazar is Judge of the WI Court of Appeals for District II, based in Waukesha.
Both events will be livestreamed by Eye on Dunn County, an online community news website: Chris Taylor ; Maria Lazar.
Parking is suggested at meters on the street, or in metered spaces in the City of Menomonie Lot 2, in the 300 block of Wilson Avenue by the AT&T Telephone building. Please note that public parking in UW-Stout lots is limited to pay-to-park areas only.
