Kevin R. Retzloff

Kevin R. Retzloff, age 74, of Colfax, WI, passed away on July 31, 2026, at The Neighbors of Dunn County in Menomonie, WI.

Kevin was born in Menomonie, WI on March 4, 1952 to Richard and Donna Retzloff (Owen). He grew up in the Menomonie area and graduated from Menomonie High School in 1971. After school Kevin took a job with Brave Harvestore, where he worked for several years. Kevin married Loretta Bauer June 15, 1974 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Lima. Together they made their home in the Tainter Lake area just outside of Menomonie where they raised their family.

Kevin had a deep appreciation for the outdoors. Whether casting a line at sunrise, hunting in the quiet woods or simply enjoying the beauty of nature, Kevin felt most at home in nature. The greatest joy, however, came from sharing those moments with family and friends, creating memories that will be treasured for generations.

Kevin will be forever loved and missed by his wife Lorreta, his children Michelle (Todd) Poeschel, James Retzloff (Katy Anderson), Amanda (Dan) Hanson, and Elizabeth (Derrik) Chilson. He is also survived by his grandchildren Evan, Ava, Ryan, Zachary, Emma, Dylan and Ethan; his siblings, many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Donna, and a daughter Melissa.

The family would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Adoray, Home Health & Hospice as well as to the staff at The Neighbors of Dunn County for the exceptional care, comfort, and kindness they provided during this extremely difficult time. Your support meant more to our family than words can express.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am. on Friday, August 14, 2026, at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, WI, with Celebrant Teresa Pejsa officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Burial will follow at Sherman Cemetery in the Town of Sherman, Dunn County, Wisconsin.
