Kenneth L. Johnson

Kenneth Leroy Johnson born March 4, 1934, to Oscar H. and Ellen A. (Stavrum) Johnson passed away on May 6, 2026.

Ken grew up on the farm with three siblings and graduated from Menomonie High School. He married the love of his life, Valerene E. Donnelly, on December 19, 1952. They began married life on the Johnson farm. They moved to Racine and Beloit for work. Then Ken was drafted in the Army and served at Fort Polk, LA for two years, later serving in the Wisconsin National Guard.

They then returned to the Johnson farm, where he worked until his retirement. He and Val shared everything in life, a great sense of humor, stock car racing, card games, puzzles, and many family gatherings.

Ken is survived by sister Joyce; brother Fred (Kathy); and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Valerene; parents Oscar and Ellen Johnson; sister Evelyn; brothers-in-law Robert B. and Richard D.; and niece Cindy Donnelly and nephew Danny Johnson.

A Memorial service for Ken and Val will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, May 15, 2026 at Olson Funeral Home with Celebrant Teresa Pejsa officiating. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Fall City Cemetery in the Town of Spring Brook, Dunn County, WI with Military Honors performed by the Menomonie Veterans Honor Guard.
