Judith M. Johnson

Judith “Judy” M. Johnson, age 72, of Menomonie, passed away April 18, 2025 at the American Lutheran Home surrounded by her family and friends.

She was born February 2, 1953, in Menomonie, WI to Don and Eileen (Timm) Finder.

Judy married the love of her life Eugene Johnson, on June 17, 1972, in Menomonie. She lived for being a wife and welcoming him home from his days away trucking holding the homestead down.

Judy was a loving mother and grandmother who lived for her son playing sports (football and softball) not missing a game and her grandkids Delaney and Maddux. She couldn’t wait for them to arrive every day and would be waiting outside for them no matter how cold it was. She loved teaching them about birds and flowers, baking cookies with them, getting them on and off the bus and most recently loved watching them both play hockey.

Judy also worked as a daycare provider for 50+ years for countless family and loved every minute. She loved flea markets, gardening, bird watching and filling her 80+ bird feeders throughout her beautiful yard she took so much pride in.

Judy is survived by her son, John Johnson of Menomonie; grandchildren – Delaney and Maddux Johnson and their mother Janelle Johnson, Siblings: Shirley (Finder) Rostamo, Kenneth (Pam) Finder, Sharon (Donald) Spielman, and Kevin (Mona) Finder, sister-in-law Pat Johnson, Judy (Dave) Jensen and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Johnson; parents Don and Eileen Finder, and sister Nona Post, brother-in-law George Post, niece Amanda Post, brother-in-law Wayne Rostamo, brother-in-law James Johnson, sister-in-law Lucille Whittier and other loved relatives.

Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, April 28, 2025 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, WI with Pastor Bob Koepp officiating. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Burial will be at Mamre Cemetery in Menomonie, WI at a later date.
