Gale L. Volbrecht

Gale R. Volbrecht age 77, of Menomonie, WI passed away Friday, January 9, 2026, peacefully at home.

He was born October 3, 1948, in Eau Claire, WI to Gerald and Irma (Schumacher) Volbrecht. He grew up in Eau Claire and graduated from Eau Claire Memorial high school in 1966 and then from UW-Stout in 1971 with a degree in Business.

Gale lived most of his adult life in Sheldon and Menomonie WI, working in Management and in the HVAC industry, working for Sheldon Co-op, Steiner Inc. and River Country Co-op.

Gale is survived by “daughter” Lisa (Aaron) of Holcombe, grandchildren Miranda, Megan, Taylor, Tristan, Keegan, Logan and Isaac and great granddaughter Layken. Brothers Dennis (Anne) of Fall Creek and David of Eau Claire and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Gerald and Irma, brothers Gary and Jim.

Visitation will be held 4:00-7:00pm Monday, January 19, 2026, at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, WI. A small family burial will be at a later date at Lakeview Cemetery in Eau Claire WI.
