Fly Tying Nights at Brewery Nonic

Looking for an excuse to tie flies, drink a good beer, and talk fishing? This one’s for you.

Join us the 2nd Saturday of the month for an open, informal fly tying night at Brewery Nonic in downtown Menomonie. This is a laid-back get-together for fly tiers of all skill levels — no instruction, no pressure, just good vibes and good conversation.

Bring your own vise and materials, grab a beer, and tie whatever flies you feel like. Streamers, nymphs, dries, experiments that may or may not work — it’s all fair game.

Never tied flies before but your curious? come on down! We generally have extra vices and materials and were all about introducing fly tying to beginners.

The real goal of the night is simple:

-Meet like-minded anglers

-Trade tips and techniques

-Learn from each other

-Tell fishing stories (true and exaggerated...)

-Have a great time

Whether you’re brand new to tying or have been spinning thread for decades, you’re welcome at the table. Come hang out, tie a few flies, and be part of the local fly fishing community.
