MENOMONIE, WI (October 2025)—The City of Menomonie will conduct curbside yard waste and brush pickup on Mondays, October 20 and 27, and November 3 and 10, 2025. Yard waste and brush must be placed at the curb no sooner than one day before and no later than 7 a.m. on pickup day. Pickup takes all day, so please be patient with our crews.
What Residents Need to Know:
Leaves, grass clippings, and garden debris must be placed in paper compostable bags. (Each bag must weigh 50 lbs. or less.)
The brush must be bundled and no longer than 4 feet long.
No pickups will be made in alleys.
If your regular garbage day falls on a yard waste pickup day, please keep garbage separate from your yard waste.
For those who prefer to drop off their yard waste, year-round, the City Solid Waste Site at 1601 Gilbert Creek Road is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturdays from 7:00 AM to noon.
Raking and properly disposing of yard waste helps protect water quality. Leaves are a significant source of phosphorus, which can lead to algae blooms in lakes and rivers. Keeping leaves off the streets and out of storm drains supports a healthier environment for everyone.
Leaves collected from curbside pickup and landfill drop-off are composted. Residents are welcome to pick up finished compost at the Solid Waste Site during open hours, while supplies last. Compost is available on a first-come, first-served basis, and residents must bring their own containers and load them themselves.
