Dunn County Hazardous Waste Event - September 24th

• Location: Small Animal Building, Dunn County Fairgrounds

• Address: 620 17th St E, Menomonie, WI

• Fee: $10 per vehicle

• Payment: Cash or check only

Acceptable Items:

• Automotive

Antifreeze, brake fluid, degreasers, gasoline and other fuels

• Batteries

Batteries smaller than a car battery in size. No alkaline or car batteries.

• Bulbs

Compact, U shaped and circular fluorescent bulbs, HID lamps, fluorescent tubes, LED bulbs, PCB and non PCB ballasts

• Cleaners

Concrete cleaner, polish and spot removers, pool chemicals

• Other Materials

Aerosol cans that are not empty, acids and bases, rodent bait, mercury, lighter fluid, mothballs

• Paints and Solvents

Oil and lead paint. No latex paint. Oil based stains and polyurethanes, adhesives, turpentine, strippers and thinners

• Pesticides

Insecticides, fertilizer with weed killer, herbicides, fungicides

Unacceptable Items:

• Appliances

• Alkaline and auto batteries

• Compressed gas tanks, including propane and spray foam

• Electronics

• Explosives, including ammunition and fireworks

• Latex paint

• Medical waste

• Medications

• Sharps

• Smoke detectors

• Tires

• Used oil

• Fire extinguishers
