Dorothy A. Kincade

Dorothy A. Kincade age 84, of Eau Claire, WI passed away Thursday, February 5, 2026, at Dove West Health Care.

She was born July 23, 1941, in Holcombe, WI to Roy and Mary (Clark) Overmyer. She grew up in the Elk Mound/Eau Claire area and graduated from Memorial High School in 1960.

Dorothy married Walter Kincade Oct. 3, 1959, in Chippewa Falls. They lived in Elk Mound and New Mexico before moving to Eau Claire in 1981. They had five children. After Walter’s passing in Sept. of 1985, she was completely devoted to her family as she took on multiple roles as a sole provider for the remaining children at home and was heavily invested in the lives of her children and grandchildren for the remainder of her life. She worked at Luther and Super 8 doing custodial duties and finished out her career at Minnesota Wire and Cable in the quality control department as a coordinator.

In her free time, she loved going out to eat with family and friends, along with traveling with close friends to go across the country to watch her favorite country music artists and see the sights to and from the events.

Dorothy is survived by her sons Jerry (Jeannine) Kincade of Arizona, Darren (Victoria) Kincade of Chicago, IL, Monte Kincade of Bloomer, Jason (Sharon) Kincade of Chippewa Falls and son-in-law Joel Almsted of Menomonie. Several grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Walter: parents, Roy and Mary; daughter, Darla and many brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, WI with Pastor Lukas Montgomery officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
