Donna M. Brackin

Donna M. Brackin, age 79, of Wheeler, WI, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at The Neighbors of Dunn County in Menomonie.

Born in Fresno, California, to Walter and Edith (Lacks) Stubblefield, Donna grew up in Reedley, CA, where she graduated from high school. She later made her home in Wheeler, WI, dedicating many years to working in childcare, a role that reflected her nurturing spirit.

Donna found joy in camping, fishing, traveling, reading, and baking. Her warmth, kindness, and love for life will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her sons, Daniel Reese (Paula Nunes) and Lucas (Heather) Brackin; step-daughters, Betty Waller and Sandra Woof. She also leaves behind many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as her sister-in-law, Margie Stewart.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Brackin; brothers Roger, David, and Phillip Lee; step-sons, John and Virgil Brackin; brother-in-law, Roger Stewart; her parents, Walter and Edith Stubblefield; and numerous cherished friends and relatives.

In accordance with Donna’s wishes, she will be cremated, and no formal services are planned.
