David James Noble “Nervy” age 71, born in Superior, WI, currently residing in Menomonie, WI passed away in his sleep after battling cancer. Nervy passed away in his home in Menomonie on October 20th 2025.
Nervy was born on July 4th 1954 to Donald Noble and Marie (Buyteart) Noble. He attended Superior High school, graduating in 1972. After high school he moved to Colorado with his future wife Diane (Urbaniak) Noble. In 1985 they moved to Menomonie, WI before having their first and only child Harley. Nervy worked for Westcap for 35 years before retiring. Nervy married Diane Urbaniak on December 13th 1985.
Nervy was passionate about being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles. Nervy was a member of The Lost Race M/C. His M/C brothers were a family to him and his family. They could always be counted on, and they could always count on him. Children and animals were drawn to Nervy as he had a fun and calm personality.
Nervy spent as much time as he could with his grandchildren, River and Emma. Supporting them in sports, school, and crazy ideas. The kids have many fun memories of him throwing them off the dock at the cabin (including jumping off the dock while on his shoulders!) and hunting squirrels, deer, or wild hazelnuts and blackberries. He enjoyed spending time at the family cabin with all of his relatives, visiting around the bonfire, with a Diet Coke and peanuts in the shell, and telling spooky stories with the kids when the acorn lights came on! If the weather was poor he would find a cribbage competitor and head inside.
Nervy is preceded in death by his spouse Diane (Urbaniak) Noble, his parents Donald Noble and Marie (Buyteart) Noble, his sister Donna Noble, his daughter in law Stacey (Bonner) Noble and many other family members and friends.
He is survived by his son Harley Noble, his “wonderful, beautiful” daughter in law Tawny (Nelson) Noble, his grandson River “dog” Styer, his granddaughter who was his “pride and joy” Emma Noble, his brothers Tom Noble (Joan), Donald Noble (Vicki), his brother in law Jack Urbaniak and many other relatives and friends who will miss him.
Nervy’s wishes were to be cremated, without a funeral ceremony. Please do not send flowers or gifts. If giving provides you comfort, please donate to the Ruth House (a homeless shelter) in Superior. Ruth House donations could be given to Harley, Tawny (in Menomonie) or Chris (at Wasko’s).
Per Nervy’s final request there will be a pig roast with fireworks and limited amounts of Thunderbird at Wasko’s campground plus (8441 County Rd P Lake Nebagamon, WI 54849) on October 31st 2025 at 5 PM. He would like everyone to celebrate his life! We are planning a ride from Menomonie to Wasko’s that morning, contact Harley or Tawny for information if interested.
