Corrine Ann (Ayers) Cassellius
October 2, 1937 – June 12, 2025
It is with great love and fond remembrance that we announce the passing of Corrine Ann (Ayers) Cassellius on June 12, 2025. Born on October 2, 1937, in Wilson, Wisconsin, she was the beloved daughter of Cliff and Julia (Ames) Ayers.
Corrine graduated from Glenwood City High School in 1955 and pursued a career in dental assisting in Eau Claire. She worked in Menomonie before marrying her high school sweetheart, Jerome (Jerry) Joseph Cassellius, on August 4, 1956, at St. John's the Baptist Church in Glenwood City. Together, they built a beautiful life on their farm in Downing, where they worked side by side for 38 years and raised their six children: Julie (Duane) Kuesel, Randy (Susan) Cassellius, Kellen Cassellius, Rodney (Pam) Cassellius, Jarett (Beverly) Cassellius, and Rusty (Trisha) Cassellius.
Corrine was a cherished grandmother to sixteen grandchildren—Colleen (John) Norquist, Heather (Joel) Hampton, Kami Jo (Chris) Mogelvang, Kirsten Cassellius, Mark Cassellius, Neal Cassellius, Justine (Dustin) Leach, Marissa (Ken) Washington, Shawn Cassellius, Erik (Alondra) Cassellius, Brandon (Katie) Cassellius, Nathan Cassellius, Rodney Jr. Cassellius, Colten Cassellius, Landon Cassellius, and Emerson Cassellius—as well as fifteen great-grandchildren who brought her endless joy.
Corrine had a passion for creativity, from painting and decorating to cake decorating, a skill she shared for six years at Market Place Foods and another six years at Dairy Queen. She loved Artex painting, hosted home demonstrations, and shared her enthusiasm through Home Interior parties.
She and Jerry enjoyed time at their camper in Chetek, creating fond memories at the lake with family. Above all, Corrine treasured time spent with her children and grandchildren, filling their lives with love, laughter, and creativity.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cliff and Julia Ayers; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Carol (Erv) Mayer, Katie (Ted) Strange, Arlene (Mike) O’Rourke; her brothers Stanley and Raymond Ayers; and her brother-in-law Robert Cassellius.
Corrine will be deeply missed by her loving family and friends. Her legacy of love, creativity, and devotion will forever be cherished.
