The Dunn County Humane Society (DCHS) is thrilled to announce the return of its highly anticipated Community Rummage & Bake Sale, set to take place at the Fanetti Community Center & the Dunn County Ice Arena in Menomonie on April 24th and 25th. This beloved community event offers attendees the opportunity to shop affordably while supporting the unhomed cats and dogs of Dunn County.
All proceeds from the sale will directly contribute to the DCHS mission, covering vital expenses such as veterinary care, animal care supplies, facility upkeep, and DCHS community outreach initiatives.
The Rummage and Bake Sale will kick off on Friday, April 24th, running from 9 am to 6 pm, and will continue on Saturday, April 25th, from 9 am to 4 pm.
“Our Rummage and Bake Sale has become a cherished tradition in Menomonie, but it’s more than just a bargain sale; it’s a chance to find unique treasures, enjoy homemade desserts, and make a real difference for animals in need,” said Harvey Weidman, Director of Marketing & Development at Dunn County Humane Society.
“Every dollar spent helps provide food, medical care, and shelter for unhomed pets in our community, and every donated item gets a second chance—just like the dogs and cats we care for every day. Plus, this year we are excited to partner with local food trucks! So keep an eye out on our website and social media, and mark your calendars!”
DCHS welcomes donations of gently-used, unwanted items for this community event. Donations can be dropped off at the Fanetti Community Center on Tuesday, April 21st, from 7 am to 7 pm. Please note that DCHS cannot accept mattresses, bed frames, large appliances, undergarments, broken items, or exercise equipment.
For those looking to make a difference through volunteer work, opportunities are available to assist with various aspects of the event. Interested parties are encouraged to reach out to the DCHS Volunteer Coordinator, Robyn, at volunteer@dunncountyhumanesociety.org.
DCHS extends its heartfelt gratitude to sponsors, community partners, volunteers, and neighbors, including Jackie Hunt, State Farm Insurance; Animal Wellness Center of Buffalo Valley; Rock n’ Roll To Go; GFL Environmental, Menomonie; Goodwill; and the Menomonie Youth Hockey Association, whose generous support makes events like the Rummage and Bake Sale possible.
