City of Menomonie to host State of the City Town Hall October 20th

The City of Menomonie invites community members to attend a State of the City Town Hall on Tuesday, October 20, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at Menomonie High School's Auditorium.
The evening will focus on three key topics: City financial health, housing, and economic development, providing a broad look at where Menomonie is today, what the City is working on, and where the community is headed. Through a moderated conversation, community members will have an opportunity to learn more about these topics, ask questions, and hear directly from City leadership. Mayor Matthew Crowe, City Administrator Eric Atkinson, Public Works Director David Schofield, and Economic Development Director Adam Accola will participate in and help facilitate the discussion.
“This State of the City Town Hall is an opportunity to bring people together, share what’s happening in Menomonie and hear directly from our community,” said Mayor Matthew Crowe. “We want to create a space where residents can ask questions, connect with City leadership, and be part of conversations about Menomonie’s future.”
As the City’s first State of the City Town Hall of this kind, the goal of the event is to support transparency, encourage constructive dialogue, and create space for community members to engage with the City around the topics shaping Menomonie’s future.
How Community Members Can Participate
The State of the City Town Hall is designed to provide multiple opportunities for community members to engage throughout the evening. During the moderated discussion, attendees will be able to submit written questions related to City financial health, housing, and economic development. Questions will be collected throughout the event and shared with the panel as part of the conversation.
Following the moderated portion of the State of the City Town Hall, attendees are invited to stay for community mingling from approximately 7:30–8:00 pm. This informal portion of the evening will provide another opportunity for community members to connect and continue conversations with City leaders and others in attendance. Community members are encouraged to attend, bring their questions, and take part in the conversation.
