
Charles H. Boe, 95, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2025, in Menomonie, WI. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, whose very presence and humor touched the lives of many.
Charles was predeceased by his first wife of 45 years, Shirley Y. Anderson, and his grandson, David L. Boe. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Bernice Sinz Boe, and his children: Dan (Nancy) Boe of Stoughton, WI; Kari Boe Doyle of Spooner, WI; Lynnea (Tim) Lake of Spooner, WI; and Eric (Pat) Boe of Hot Springs Village, AR. And his Bonus family, Randy (Sue) Sinz, Scott (Vicky) Sinz, Todd (Dianne) Sinz, and Rob (Lori) Sinz. He was a proud grandfather to 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry on his legacy of warmth and humor. He was known to say he was the luckiest man around to have been married to two incredible women.
Born on May 21, 1929, Charles lived a full and meaningful life. He attended primary and secondary school in Lanesboro, MN. He was instrumental as one of the founders of the Rice Lake, WI Curling Club, helping to grow the sport and bring people together. He had an adequate golf game but a remarkable sense of humor, bringing joy and laughter to all who knew him.
A Viking celebration will take place this summer at the Sons of Norway Hall in Lanesboro, followed by private interment at Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.
