In a significant move to bolster its leadership team and enhance direct care services, Arbor Place, Inc., a non-profit treatment center, is delighted to welcome Dr. Jill Hasenberg as its newest Medical Director.
With a long-standing reputation as a primary provider of substance use and mental health disorders in Western Wisconsin, Arbor Place is committed to its mission: “The mission of Arbor Place, Inc. is to provide prevention, treatment, renewal, & recovery opportunities to individuals, families, and communities impacted by substance use and mental health disorders.”
Since 2006, Dr. Hasenberg has been a dedicated primary care provider in the Chippewa Valley. In 2023, she made a significant career decision to leave primary care and continue to pursue her passion for working with individuals with substance use disorders. This transition underscores her deep commitment to making a meaningful impact in the field of addiction medicine.
Dr. Hasenberg brings to Arbor Place a wealth of experience and a profound commitment to patient care. Her work experience spans family medicine and addiction medicine, including providing withdrawal management services for patients with alcohol and substance use disorders. She has worked extensively with hospital services, served on the board of a quality improvement committee, and won HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital Physician of the Year in 2018. She had served as Medical Director of L.E. Phillips since 2017.
“We are thrilled to have Dr. Hasenberg join our team,” said Jill Gamez, Executive Director at Arbor Place, Inc. “Her extensive experience, passion for recovery, and approach to treatment will be invaluable as we try to help fill the gaps created by the Prevea and HSHS closings.”
Dr. Hasenberg will not only be the Medical Director but will also provide direct care, including Medication- Assisted Treatment (MAT) to clients in both residential and outpatient settings.
The appointment of Dr. Hasenberg arrives at a crucial time for Arbor Place, as the demand for comprehensive and accessible substance use disorder treatment services grows. Her expertise will be instrumental in enhancing the center’s programs, ensuring the highest quality of care, and supporting Arbor Place’s overall mission.
“I am excited to be a part of Arbor Place and look forward to contributing to its mission of making a difference in the lives of those we serve,” said Dr. Hasenberg. “Together, we will continue to build on the center’s legacy of care and compassion, providing the foundation for recovery and a better future for our clients.”
