Angeline "Angie" H. Kryshak

Angeline (Angie) Kryshak, age 100, passed away at the Neighbors of Dunn County on Monday, September 14. Angie was born in the Town of Cassel, Marathon County, to Leo and Clara (Pospyhalla) Wadinski on September 4, 1926. Angie was the 6th of seven daughters and attended Sacred Heart Grade School and Marathon High School. She was an executive secretary at Employers Mutual Insurance Company until her marriage to James (Jim) Kryshak, together they established Jim Kryshak Jewelers in Wausau, WI.

While in Wausau, Angie was active at their church, St. Michaels, and the schools the children attended. She was a Cub Scout den mother, assistant Girl Scout leader, volunteer at the school library, president of the P.C.C.W. and the Wausau Area Catholic Women’s Club.

After Jim’s death in 1996, she moved to Manson Lake, Tomahawk, WI where she lived for 17 years. There she enjoyed entertaining family, friends and especially the grandchildren who came with their many friends. She was active at St. Mary’s Church in Rhinelander as well as participating in the Learning in Retirement sessions through Nicolet College. During the winter months she was content with books, as reading was her favorite pastime, as well as feeding the birds while keeping the squirrels away. In spring she shifted to keeping the bears away from the feeders.

After 17 years at Manson Lake, she left her many friends and moved to Menomonie, WI to be near her son Bill and his family. She moved to an independent living complex which quickly became her home with wonderful friends. She loved games, sports and followed the Packers, Bucks, Brewers, all the Badger teams, Marquette and Marathon High School.

She is survived by her four children, Gary (Chris), Wisconsin Rapids, Terry (Judy), Bessemer, MI, Julie, Evergreen, CO, and Bill (Mary Kay), Menomonie, WI. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Jaime (Shilo) Tennyson, LeaAnn (John) Quimby, Courtney Engel, Sarah (Marc) LoPiccolo, Matt (Soren) Kryshak, James (Lloyd) Kryshak, Nick Kryshak, Andrew (Catherine) Kryshak, Joseph Kryshak and great-grandchildren, Hannah, Alexis, Shawn, Leo, Caleb and Rocco. She is also survived by her brothers-in-laws Ted Kryshak and Tom Kryshak plus many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sisters Emily Murkowski, Alvina Szymanski, Lucille Royston, Dolores Marzynski, Virginia Paszek, Leona Ritger and great granddaughter Caitlin Engel.

The family would like to thank Marshfield Clinic, especially Dr. Winiarczyk, The Neighbors of Dunn County and St. Croix Hospice for the excellent care.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church on Friday, September 25th at 12pm, with a visitation prior to the Mass from 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM. A luncheon will follow. Final rest will be private.
