American Legion Post 32 meeting information
POST 32 MEETINGS - OCTOBER 12 & DECEMBER 14
Hosford-Chase American Legion Post 32 will hold our final two meetings of 2026 on Monday, October 12 and Monday, December 14 at Stout Craft Company in the Sky Box.
6:00 PM - Optional dinner off the menu and plenty of conversation and camaraderie
7:00 PM - Post meeting
These two meetings will be especially important as we begin planning our 2027 programs and consider a simple question:
How can Post 32 continue to be relevant and active in our community?
We want to build opportunities that support veterans, strengthen camaraderie, promote Americanism, recognize and work alongside our first responders and community partners, and give Legionnaires meaningful ways to continue serving.
The Preamble to the Constitution of The American Legion reminds us why we associate ourselves together.
Among its purposes are:
"To foster and perpetuate a one hundred percent Americanism;"
"To inculcate a sense of individual obligation to the community, state and nation;"
"To promote peace and goodwill on earth;"
"To safeguard and transmit to posterity the principles of justice, freedom and democracy;"
and
"To consecrate and sanctify our comradeship by our devotion to mutual helpfulness."
Those principles provide a pretty good starting point as we decide what Post 32 should look like in 2027 and beyond.
New members are especially welcome. If you have recently joined Post 32, we hope you will come, meet some fellow Legionnaires, and help shape what we do next.
And if you are a veteran who has never joined The American Legion, you may be surprised to learn that you are likely eligible. If you served at least one day of federal active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces since December 7, 1941, and were honorably discharged or are currently serving, you are eligible for American Legion membership. Combat or overseas service is not required.
You do not need to already know anyone, and you do not need to come for dinner. Come at 6:00 for the camaraderie, come at 7:00 for the meeting, or join us for both.
