While we understand that removing the Street Stock division from the Punky Manor Challenge of Champions may be disappointing to some, it was a necessary decision based on several key factors. With the event transitioning to a two-day format with complete shows each night and a strict curfew to consider, we had to reduce the overall number of classes.
Over the past three years, the average car counts at the Punky Manor have been as follows: Late Models – 33, Modifieds – 32, Super Stocks – 33, Midwest Mods – 36, and Street Stocks – 17. Given these figures, the Street Stock division had the lowest participation, and as a result, was the most reasonable class to remove in order to streamline the event.
