Trails, tubing, and skating ready to go
With this past weekend's snowfall, winter activities are set to open in the area. Snowmobile Trails UPDATE: SNOWMOBILE TRAILS CLOSED ON JANUARY 5TH. All Dunn County trails will open January 1, 2026, at 6 am, with the exception of a section of Trail 11, which is closed and will not open for the season (see picture for reference). Murals in Menomonie seeking community support
We're painting 12+ murals in 2026, and want your help! Each of the murals being painted tells a story of our community's history and requires a full team of artists and volunteers. Donations will be used to feed and house artists, purchase paint and supplies, prepare walls and buildings for painting, and ensure each team has the scaffolding and equipment needed to paint a beautiful mural. Our Learning Together Storytime is for children of all ages attending with a caregiver. There will be stories and learning fun for everyone! Dunn County Jail residents give back by creating blankets for nonprofits
Jenn McDermid, Director of Domestic Abuse Victim Services at The Bridge to Hope, holding blankets with an intern. The holidays were a little brighter for some Dunn County individuals and families this year after County Jail residents recently made 12 fleece-tie blankets to donate to The Bridge to Hope, which provides services those affected by domestic violence.
