A free voter registration training will be offered on March 9, 2026, from 6-8 pm on Zoom by the League of Women Voters-Greater Chippewa Valley (LWV-GCV).Â
The information is geared toward people who want to learn about voting in Wisconsin, so they may help guide others through the voter registration process. Presenters will role-play common voter registration scenarios, provide handouts, and answer questions.Â
The goal of the training is for participants to feel comfortable and knowledgeable about helping others register to vote and to know how to access expert resources.Â
Topics include:Â
registration methods (by mail, in person, or online through MyVote.wi.gov)Â Â - registration deadlinesÂ
eligibility requirementsÂ
required documentsÂ
In addition, participants will learn how to direct voters to the following practical information on MyVote.wi.gov:Â
their municipal clerk or their polling placeÂ
the next election dates Â
what’s on the ballotÂ
their voting activity historyÂ
how to request an absentee ballotÂ
Recent changes to the Wisconsin voting process will be covered, as needed. This free training is open to the public and to League members.Â
Note: A new training for volunteers experienced in voter registration will be offered this fall.Â
Registration is required and can be completed online at the LWV-GCV website (https://www.lwv-gcv.org). Then click the Calendar tab and select the March 9 event. A confirmation and Zoom link will be sent after you register.Â
LWV-GCV is a local chapter of the League of Women Voters — a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization founded in 1920 that provides voter information and encourages voter registration. Â
